I am a New York licensed attorney practicing in the area of reproductive law. My law firm: Law Offices of Amelia Demma, provides counsel to those engaged in collaborative reproduction including prospective parents, egg donors, known sperm donors, embryo donors, and surrogates. I counsel clinics, agencies and remain heavily engaged in New York legislation as it relate to assisted family formation.

I have a long history of non-profit engagement working with organizations committed to reproductive advocacy. I have served or am currently serving as a legal advisor, board member or executive on the board of the following organizations: RESOLVE: New England (Vice President and then President); Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy - SEEDSEthics (founding board member); Parents Via Egg Donation -PVED (legal advisor); Fertility Within Reach (strategic advisor); New York Attorneys for Adoption and Assisted Family Formation -NYAAFF (board of directors, Chair/ART Legislative Committee); RESOLVE: National Infertility Association, Advocacy Day (New York State Captain); Men Having Babies (member/legal advisory committee); Men Having Babies/Surrogacy Advisor (committee member).

In December 2013, I was admitted as a Fellow to the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys where I currently serve on the ART committee. In 2019, I was awarded the Mary L. Landrieu Supporter of Adoption through Knowledge and Action Award “For Leadership, Dedication and Vision to Improve the Lives of Children and Families” by the Academy.

I am credentialed in Family Mediation through Harvard Law School.
